About Khairat App

Khairat is a free Sudanese electronic platform and mobile application available for use worldwide. It was developed by Jalalah Development Ltd. in February 2025. The primary purpose of this platform is to display crop prices in various crop markets across Sudan, along with the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Sudanese pound, updated daily based on market mechanisms. This information is particularly beneficial for importers outside Sudan and exporters, allowing them to calculate crop costs using daily market prices (auction prices) or special company offers after the season ends.

Crop Auctions

Displays a price movement chart for crops such as sesame, showing price trends from the beginning to the end of an auction, based on official market reports. For instance, the Gedaref crop market auction started on November 19, 2024, and ended on December 23, 2024. The chart covers this period to provide users with insights into price fluctuations during the auction phase.

Companies

This section lists the names and contact details of various companies (crop traders) that have available stock for sale across different regions of Sudan. This enables major exporters in Sudan and importers from abroad to connect directly with these companies for purchases, especially after the auction period ends and throughout the year.

Daily Videos

Features video content from the auction during the trading period, along with a daily market report summarizing crop prices at the end of each trading day (Sunday to Thursday). For example, the daily video report from Gedaref market includes prices for sesame, maize, watermelon seeds, and millet.

Reports

Provides summaries of auction activity. For instance, the Gedaref crop auction opened on November 17, 2024, and concluded on December 22, 2024. This section includes official daily reports from the crop market, detailing sesame prices, quantities, company names, and daily transaction volumes. These reports offer valuable statistical data from the beginning to the end of the season. Additionally, the section features a report from the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on cultivated land areas in Sudan and production levels over the past five years compared to the most recent post-war season.
